The Diva Essential Designer Bag
…….is finished. It was a beautifully written pattern, with first rate written instructions. I didn’t struggle to understand them, even though I am more of a visual learner. I give this pattern designer 5 Stars for pattern writing!
As you can see it is a complex bag, with lots of pockets. A total of 22 separate cutting instructions and 21 construction instructions. Is it any wonder this bag has taken me 3 days to make? Well worth it I think, it looks great!
Pinwheel Quilted Coasters
Now for a simple project…..these 6 fabric coasters were made using a pattern from my 2010 Sewing Calendar, (Purchased from The Book Depository) and scraps.
Another hot day has been forecast for us tomorrow, so I will make the most of the day indoors with the A/C going and perhaps get some machine quilting done on the table runners from this post…..
Thanks for visiting,

Love the new bag Julie. You must have a wardrobe full or do you sell them.
The coasters look great. I guess the hot weather keeps you inside - good for sewing. Our hot weather makes us all stay outside - not as hot as you. Really hot here today
26 degrees. Like Autumn for you hey?
Cheers
Sue
I love your new bag. I have been searching for the pattern but it seems to be out of stock everywhere. Can't wait to find the pattern and try it. Every woman needs a few bags to her name!
