Friday - Frenzied Flaunters

It might be a bit of a mouthful, but seems to suit the occasion!

This week has been a bit quiet on the completion of projects front, but I have been working quietly on two of the blocks from the Tisket a Tasket BOM, and knitting.

Today I had a list of things I wanted to get done, top of the list was washing and ironing, what else is new?

The it was on to adding some borders to a workshop quilt top I began last year.

I have insufficient fabric to do much else although I do intend to see what I can find to put a final border around the now rectangular quilt top. I'm thinking of repeating the green inner border, although it will depend on what I can come up with that works.

Today is the last day of my holidays, and I have enjoyed them so much I find myself wistfully thinking of never going back!!  Then I slap myself around and remind myself of the addiction I have to fabric and the like, and know that not  returning to work is not an option right now!!!

P1010904 Talk this week of the Aldi Catalogue had me off to purchase this little beauty.  My friend Debbie has one and says she recommends them highly. I do like the 1 litre water tank and the feel and weight of the iron. Let's see if it improves my ability to get the household ironing done? Perhaps until the novelty wears off it just might?

Now I have some ATC's to get done! No rest for the wicked!

Hi Julie, I just wanted to say how much I love your blog! Lots of lovely quilts plus a few reminders of patterns from books that I have, that I had forgotten about.

Julie, Cinzia beat me to the question (that comes from HER being 15 hours ahead of me; I'll never catch up!), but I too adore that design, and have never seen it. The star and alternate Friendship Star (sorta) are wonderful. Do tell!

Gorgeous quilt top Julie, will be curious to see it with a final border.

Aldi is not an iron for the household. Let them get their own iron - this iron is for your addiction and said such tops. :-)

Hey Julie (the Star!)
Just love the quilt you're working on - very appropriate.
Thanks again for the Birthday Fat 1/4's, I blogged about them :)
Blessings
