Points at Play workshop quilt top
Here is the Points at Play workshop quilt top almost finished......I didn't realise how important the lovely striped flannelet sheet would be to my fabric placement.
I was able to lay it on my sewing room floor and work on it whenever I had a spare moment or the mood took me.
I was determined to complete the top before I leave for retreat tomorrow.
Now I need to decide what I will do next. I have leftovers that may work for a couple of pieced borders, or perhaps another 'busy' fabric a little like the middle star may work too.
I love the look of the stars, a clever design using half rectangles.....I can see many more applications for the same technique!
Only one more sleep until Retreat!

It's beautiful, Julie.
It looks really good Julie!
I wouldnt go for a busy fabric, let it just float out. A busy would detract from the great stars.
Well, that is what I reckon.
Have a great retreat!

Have a wonderful retreat! I'm so sorry I won't be there... (but I can't miss my Ernstie's birthday!)
Cheers,
