Scatterdays #2

I didn’t make the same mistake as last time in assuming this would be a simple task, I took my camera when my husband and I took a drive to Toowoomba…..what I failed to take was my list of the categories.  Smart phone to the rescue…..I emailed Joy and she emailed me the list!!!! What a team! Thanks so much Joy!

Mammal

My daughter’s pet rats….sadly one died this week due to heat exhaustion!

Technology

How far has the humble Radio has progressed thanks to technology?

Transport

Well right outside the box thinking with this photograph was taken while we enjoyed a Devonshire Tea at the Railway Station Cafe in Toowoomba on Tuesday.

Quilting

Shades of red……my small collection of RED fat quarters. The colours seem more orange in the photo than they really are.

Now for other breaking news……I was this close {..} to thinking I had a new job….only to find I wasn’t the chosen one……? I felt very disheartened, coupled with a summer head cold, not my best few days to say the least.

Thankfully every cloud…..etc. I called the recruitment agency to let them know the outcome of my second interview, and a few hours later I received a call from them to say they have an ongoing 3 days per week assignment that I might be interested in……starting Monday!

I accepted and will begin my new admin position and new career direction on Monday. Yippee!

Even with a head cold I have managed a few stitches in an ongoing stitchery project by Leanne’s House.  The embroidery panel is now complete and the border fabrics cut and ready to add.

SEW LAUGH LOVE

P1050967 Two pairs of booties completed, although they are going to be far too big for Quinn right now, but by winter who knows he is growing so fast!

P1050957

It’s so hard to get an “in focus” photo of these two together. Brooklynn moves so fast and Quinn is totally unpredictable, I take my hat of to successful children’s photographers!

Now to relax with a few episodes of Grey’s Anatomy while I work on another stitchery UFO.

Thanks for visiting,

Julie xxx

Devonshire tea at the Railway Cafe looks very inviting, and I love your stitchery.

Oh my dear Julie. Congratulations on your new job. I am sure God's hand was in it. You weren't meant for the first position, so this one is surely the right one. I hope it goes well and that you absolutely love it! Your stitchery is so pretty. Good for you to be doing it in spite of a head cold. Feel better soon! Enjoyed your photos, especially the one of B and Q. So precious together. It's wonderful to read your posts. Now bring on the letter "Q"!

Lovely set of Rs, but the best photo was your stitchery. Just beautiful.

Great photos, not so sure about a pet rat, but they are very popular. Devonshire Tea looks good.
