This week has seen the temperatures drop, and at long last I can believe we will get winter here in the Sunshine State. After many years of drought, heat waves and mild winters, perhaps we will get the winter we are supposed to have?
This week I have been working on the quilt as you go project, Dragonflight Quilt, I have only about half the hand stitching on the back joining strips to go, then I will be able to square it up, put on the final top and bottom border, then bind it! It’s a great feeling to see it coming together.
Another few Candied Hexagons are now finished,
This weeks card classes, another little gift box and a gift tag.
Last night I joined my sister Wanda, and some of her work friend for Elvis meets Buddy at The Civic Hall Ipswich. It was a fabulous performance! We had an enjoyable dinner at The Metropole Hotel before hand.
This morning I managed a nice sleep-in, before accompanying Greg on a little shopping trip for a new work jacket and work socks for him, and I managed to pop into a shop having 50% of and picked up a new pair of jeans, and will wonders never cease………? they won’t need 6” of the hem cut off to enable me to wear them!!! Oh and the coffee and cake stop was another lovely experience too!!
Thanks for visiting,
