What I’ve been up to this week.

It has been a lovely week, busy as usual, but I managed to get an early mark from work Friday, so I made the most of the opportunity and went directly home and into my sewing room for some serious bonding time!

While eating breakfast before work I made a list of things I wanted to get done, the top item on the list was to tidy up my mess.

My sewing room is the place I put things that need to be ‘dealt with’ as I know they will not get moved or touched by anyone else. It didn’t take as long as I expected, so I managed to whip up a batch of muffins for morning tea.

It was 10.30am and I was sitting down to a cuppa and a muffin when I realized that it was about the time I would usually be just getting home from work, it made me smile and sigh with absolute pleasure!

Tuesday this week was Stampin’ Up Class.  We made a card using stamps and a water colouring technique, and then got to gift wrap a chocolate bar for an Easter gift giving idea.

By Thursday evening, the chocolate bar was gone! I had managed to resist for about 2 whole days, but alas, I resisted no more!

Today I went to a Southern Cross Quilters GTG. There were about 8 of us and we chatted and shared stories while we did a little stitching and had a lovely show ‘n’ tell.

It is the second GTG for the year, and it was lovely.  We met at the Quilters & Embroiders Store at Salisbury. A little bit of retail therapy was also in order.  I bought another 10 Cosmo threads for my little collection and a metre of (new to me) Vilene iron-on interfacing to try on the back of my stitchery's

I finished this block from last year’s Bunny Hill BOM

Another stitchery I completed this week is from a Bronwyn Hayes design.

That’s all from me for now, thanks for visiting,

What was inside the pink ribbon Julie??
Was it chocolate - abit early for the Easter bunny isn't it?
Love the stitcheries and absolutely love the wedding photos. Looks like you had a fabulous day. I have been away - hence the time it's taken me to see your blog! Beautiful bride - aren't they all, and the MOB doesn't look too bad either. Lovely colour on you.
Cheers Sue
