Mt Alford Retreat Weekend 2012

This Retreat is such a luxury, the food, the accommodation and the company are second to none.

This post is about the food……let’s begin with lunch marinated chicken kebabs with salad

We arrived Saturday at about 9am, and there was a lovely spread for morning tea, but in my haste to sample the tasty morsels I forgot to take a photograph!

Dinner Saturday night, seafood mornay and veg, then coconut/apple slice with custard and Ice-cream.

Breakfast is taken in our cabins, a continental breakfast choice of cereal, toast, tea, coffee and juice.

Sunday Lunch and afternoon tea….somehow I forgot about morning tea photographs again today!

Chicken stir fry and veg – Peach Blossoms for afternoon tea.

P1050356 Morning tea on Monday was a delicious cake and a warm cob loaf!  I missed photographing last nights dinner of steak and veg…… dessert was Tiramisu.

Crust less Quiche, with jacket potato and salad. Then Fruit Salad Parfaits for dessert.

Now you know why I really look forward to this retreat, the food is so delicious!

Thanks for visiting,

Julie xxx

Who prepares all that gorgeous food? Do you take turns cooking? We do at our retreats, but we don't eat anything that looks that good!

The retreat looks fabulous, Julie (especially the food). Lovely you were able to spend the time with like minded friends. Cheers Di.
