I’ve managed to keep my head above water with working full time and a busy social calendar.
Our darling Brooklynn is growing more delightful every day.
Card classes have been focusing on Christmas cards, gift tags and boxes.
I organise a Quilters Retreat each year in November and this years was such a success, they want to do it again next year! It was a very relaxing weekend, I didn’t have huge expectations for myself, and managed a finish hand stitching the binding to two quilts. I also spray basted another quilt ready for machine quilting sometime in the near future.
And these couple of itty-bitty projects. This pattern grabbed my attention at the recent Craft/Quilt Show I attended. Here is my version.
I bought this pattern as a kit, the fabric selection was just lovely.
Another Natalie Bird design. There seems to be a definite “Festive Theme” to my projects so far! As I said the retreat was very successful, I arrived home feeling renewed and refreshed, although totally exhausted. It took a little over a week to recover.
My Post Card Swap Partner Marian sent me this little beauty, the top two leaves are detached and make the card look very special, a technique I plan to use myself in the future.
This photograph shows the project I am working on and also my newest acquisition……a light box. I have to say it made tracing the embroidery design on to the fabric such an easy task.
I’ve joined Helen Stubbings “Stitching around the Block” with three other girls, Jan, Vicky and Fiona. It is always a little daunting to work on someone else’s projects, and I do procrastinate just a little, trying to do only my best work. I do hope the others like my contributions.
Well here it is Friday night, Jordan is on the computer, Greg has already gone to bed, while I have Indiana Jones playing to a deserted room. It is time for me to turn off the TV and join my husband. I hope to manage a chapter of my book before turning out the light. I’m reading the second book in the Millennium Trilogy, The Girl Who Played with Fire.
I hope you have enjoyed a glimpse of how I have been spending my time over the last few weeks.
Thanks for visiting,

Julie, Brooklynn is the most precious little angel...I don't know how you tear yourself away from her!
And as usual for you, you don't let the grass grow under your feet. Love all your little projects...very cute. One of these days I will learn to do some small projects instead of all the damned marathons I choose for myself.
Thanks for the update on your life.
