Blogging on the go….how exciting!

Today, 29th June 2010, Greg, Jordan and I began our holiday. We are in The Warrumbungle National Park in north western New South Wales.

We left home a little earlier than scheduled, a very unusual happening for us I have to say.

While putting the final items into the van I caught this beautiful sun rise.P1020872Then as we were preparing to drive away, I noticed how lovely our lavender garden was looking and grabbed a shot of it too!P1020874P1020873After driving for about 3 hours we made our first stop for morning tea, in the lovely little town of Inglewood. It was cold even at 9.30am, but I must say the toilets in the park were lovely and clean, with plenty of loo paperP1020869

“Cooking Frenzy”

Morning tea was a selection from my cooking frenzy on the weekend and a hot cuppa from our thermos flask. Unfortunately we had forgotten our coffee cups, so we drank out of plastic cordial cups!!! First plan is to buy some more suitable cups for our coffee.

A few more hours driving, with about 20k’s behind this

before we stopped for lunch at Narrabri, it was a quick bite to eat before hitting the road to arrive at the park before the office closed at 4pm, only to find them closing the register to get the EOFY (end of financial year) sorted early…so we were told to pick a spot and come back tomorrow and pay???P1020879

So pick a spot we did, not too far from the amenities, is our usual requirement, and as it is really, really cold here right now, I think I will be wishing we had an ensuite van!!!

We are all cosy here now, with both the reverse cycle air-con going and a fan heater…..the cold comes up from the ground, and makes walking around the area without carpet very cold on bare feet!

The most exciting thing so far, is my internet access! Especially since Greg only packed half of my magnifying light….just the base????? So no stitching at night, but fortunately I have my knitting, that, I don’t need magnification for….yet!

Stay tuned for more.

Thanks for visiting.

There are no campers in our family, of the trailer sort or the people sort, so I'll be following along with interest. Cold, hmm? And how cold is that? Hopefully you have a quilt or two with you.
