One more item can be crossed of the list of things to do….Leah’s shoes arrived on Monday and they fit beautifully. Not bad considering she ordered them on EBay!
The last item on the list is the Cake Topper……it remains to be seen if that will arrive on time….but I think it will! I’m thinking positively, and so what if the cake is naked…. not a big deal in the scheme of things really.
Now to what I worked on this week.
These table runners only needed to have the bindings added, so while I was at my first Brisbane Southern Cross Quilters GTG last Saturday, I hand stitched them down while we chatted and got to know each other a little more.
My other mini project was a mug bag, using some Oriental inspired fabrics that came in one of the scrap bags I ordered from Hancock's of Paducah. These scrap bags are a treasure trove of interesting fabrics, especially if you are looking for scraps that are a little different from your own scrap bags. They are great value especially when Hancock’s have their free postage specials.
It is now just 1 week, or 7 days, or 168 hours until my baby gets married, please send your thoughts our way with hopes for a cool-ish, dry day, with no late afternoon storms, a happy bride, helpful bridesmaids, and relaxed parents, as this is going to be a big day for us all.
Until then I will do my best to remain calm and cool headed!
Thanks for visiting.

I'm amazed you found sewing time this week, but I'm sure it's a good distraction... err, perhaps only a little distraction from plans for THE BIG DAY.
Absolutely adore those table runners! So bright and cheery. Not from a kit are they?
I wish all of you the very best for the wedding. I got married last June so I know all about the stresses and excitement involved. I hope you have good weather, calm spirits and most of all just enjoy yourselves whatever happens. Blessings. Cxxx
It's going to be a big week for you. Enjoy the process and have a fabulous day. Go with the flow and you're right no big deal if the cake topper doesn't arrive. Love your bright, cheery table runners!
Very impressive:)
Hi Julie
I wish you and your family all the best for the big day. I also hope for you- not too much heat, no storms and most of all a happy bride. Gosh it seems so long ago last time I was MOG - no daughters, but you are just as anxious for DIL's. I love your table runners. Gosh you are a wizz. Did you make them out of charm squares, as they all go together so well.
I'll be thinking of you on the day. Take care my lovely
Sue
