Yesterday I hosted a High Tea themed Kitchen Tea for my darling daughter Leah. She gets married on the 27th February 2010.
As the wedding is a small, family affair, I wanted my friends, who have watched Leah grow up through my eyes, gone through the trials and turbulence that bringing up a daughter can bring, along with me, to be able to see what a lovely woman she has become.
Saturday was the day…. My sister Wanda did a spectacular job on some dainty Lemon Meringue pies, tiny Caramel Tarts and scrumptious chocolate dipped Profiteroles. Leah’s chief bridesmaid, Jessica made the cutest mini muffins, that, by all accounts tasted as good as they looked.
My efforts were, Club Sandwiches, mini Pizza’s, Chocolate Cake, mini Caramel Mud Cakes, mini Banoffee Pies.
I wish I had had time to photograph the wonderful spread, but alas it wasn’t to be.
The guests are the most important women in my life. Some are reasonably new friends, while others have been friends for more than 30 years.
I am continually amazed at how blessed I have been to have these fabulous women in my life! And for that I would like to say ‘thank you’ to all of them for putting up with me!!!
To Leah and Corrie, we would all like to say good luck for the future and we hope you both have a wonderful life together!
Now let’s see if I survive the next 4 weeks!
Thanks for visiting,
