Yes, the mysteries of holidays….more time to do those less urgent, but far more interesting chores.
Today my friendly parcel delivery man brought home to me my three quilts I took to the quilter on Sunday. How is that for fast service?
I am beyond happy with their work, and their service is fantastic. Who are they I hear you ask…..
This quilt is from a BOM with Crazy Mom Quilts The quilting pattern is Dragon Fly.
This quilt was in The Australian Homespun Magazine, a BOM called Breast of Friends. To keep costs down I went for an all over quilting design, not custom quilting, I really think it has worked well, with none of the quilting detracting from the stitchery blocks or the appliqué blocks. Let me know what you think.
My second Double Irish Chain, I finished the top last year at my Quilt Retreat in November 2009. (MY FIRST IS STILL TO BE QUILTED)
How wonderful is the feeling of getting thOse three quilt tops off my ‘to do list’, I feel free! Although I do have a few others to quilt, I can certainly handle them myself. I have plans to have no tops requiring quilting left on my ‘to do list’ by the end of 2010! Let’s see if I can keep to my schedule.
Thanks for visiting,
PS look what the Post Lady brought today Tilda’s Summer Ideas. Can’t wait to flick through it later today with my afternoon cuppa! byeeee J x

Julie your quilts are beautiful...and what a quick return of your quilts from the quilter!!! It sounds as though you are well happy with the work she did...I'm always on the lookout for a good quilter and she certainly does plenty of advertising.
So bub is keeping you waiting huh?
She obviously likes it right where she is.
