It’s a rainy Sunday afternoon

It’s been raining all day and most of the night here, and it’s very pleasant being in my little sewing room watching the rain fall.

Another weekend almost at an end. Yesterday some friends and I got together for a Baby Shower for Leah. She has 4 weeks to go. Our family and friends are extremely generous and she received some lovely things.

Leah finished work at the end of last week and now will begin the pleasant task of preparing for the baby’s arrival. I have the pleasant/not so pleasant task, depending on your point of view, of making the curtains for the baby’s room. Since discovering patchwork and quilting, I almost feel as if curtain making is very close to mending…….!

A quiet time on the stitching front, but I am trying to get a little work done on my candied
hexagons.

and also my half inch Grandmother’s Flower Garden hexagons. P1030099

The stitchery part of my newest pin cushion project is also finished.P1030097

So with my little show and tell parade over, it is time to get back to the sewing machine and try to complete this particular set of candies hexes' so I can begin cutting out the next lot.

Thanks for visiting.

Julie that is such a sweet stitchery going into a pincushion...Capital G for Goodness there! And the tiny weeny hexies are adorable.
I've gone to the other extreme and my hexies are 2" ones. But I know the tiny ones will have a turn one day.
Give Leah my good wishes.

Just four weeks left!? Oh my! To me that seems to have passed so quickly. Jill has eight weeks to go. Such wonderful times ahead for you and me!

It's curtains for you (pun intended) and valances for me. What our girls do to their quilting mums, huh?

The things you make are always so pretty, Julie. I'm a sucker for all the stitchery patterns you manage to find. I'm looking forward to seeing this little cushion finished.

Happy days... every day!
